I just picked up a Yugoslav SKS 59/66A1 at the gun show for $180, plus six boxes of "Wolf" steel case 7.62x39 ammo which ran me $20. Total spent: $200

I assume that most people here already know about the SKS, and will leave the details out of this post. The difference between my SKS and many others is, the Yugo SKS's are the only ones that come with am integral grenade launcher mount. This particular model, the A1 -has tritium front and rear sights. Other models of the Yugo SKS do not have the tritium sights.

I will post some nice pics later when my DV Cam comes back from the shop. I will take her out to the range next week and let you know how she fires. Zeroing her in should be a blast. The trigger pull is very nice and smooth, and not too rough at all. All serial numbers match up on it, and the gas piston, rods, and springs are brand new. I already dissasembled and reassembled her a dozen times.

I will end up getting the polymer folding stock for it, along with some other mods. The total cost for upgrade will run me about $100 total.

    *edited* SKS sold.

Sweet rifle! I can't wait to hear the range report and an actual group size. I like really like the look of the wood over the polymer though. Let us know how she shoots. Good buy!

Try different types or brands of ammo in it. One will shoot better than the others. I have an AK that will shoot groups with the Barnaul about half the size of the Wolf groups.

The Yugo should be fairly accurate, it doesn't have a chrome lined bore and barrel, so scrub her really good:)
