Survivalmonkey.com has a few moderator positions open. Obviously, you will need to be familiar with the site by either being a regular member or by showing some persistence by your contributions to the site. We expect our Moderators to check in to the forum / their area at least once a day for cleanup, editing and spam watch. We also expect mods to be and remain active as posters in the forum. PM melbo with the following: Summary of how you would contribute to this site as a Staff member. An example (thread URL) where you thought that Moderation was needed or was lacking. (can be here at SM or at another site) List 2-3 SM forums you'd be interested in moderating. (A forum moderator does not need to be an 'expert' in the topic but does need to be a facilitator to keep discussions active.) List 2-3 other forums you frequent, are active at, own, are a moderator at, etc. Summary of any skills relating to: Linux servers (CentOS/Redhat), php, MySQL, and any other pertinent 'internet' experience. (This is a bonus for SM but is not required) This is not a paid position although if our growth continues and we pursue advertising (guests only), revenue sharing for staff and top (relevant) posters may be a future perk.
