So you have this favorite Ball Cap that Stinks from Head Sweet.

Yes me too, but on occasion they either get washed or thrown away.
I tried all the soaps in the House and all lacked either the ability to clean the hat of dirt or smell or both. But most often the stink came back in a few days even if the Cap looked clean.

Then I tried Head and Shoulders dual with conditioner and zinc.

Easy just wash it in the shower with you, rinse well and dry in the Sun.
Good to go for a month or more in the winter and how hard you work in the summer, that's up to you.

 

Some auto parts store is always sending us caps to the shop. It's like a lifetime supply!

I wear mine all the time, one of about 6. I find that washing machine tumbles wear the brim and when one is dirty I just take it to the shower with me and then outside.

I find that most clothes detergents suck these days.
I use dawn now.
It takes 1/4 to 1/3 as much soap by volume.

 

Yep, handwashing is critical, no machine! A good soak in hot soapy water gets the grunge out.
