I promised some pics of what I saw in NO, here are the first sets. This first picture is of the food isle. Makes you wonder just how starving they were!

Here is what the looter got to read on the way out the door, if they could see it over the stacks of cloths and TV's in their arms!

Guess Rubbers are more important than food!

Actually, believe it or not, there were some bottles of wine still laying around, but the beer was all gone. As for the Gators, no. They were smart enough to leave! [beer]

Here are some pics of the Superdome now. I will do them in two batches of three as it took me almost an hour to do six and the system timed out and dumped everything I had done!

These first two pictures are at the Superdome on the west side looking north. You will note that the trash is piled up neatly, that was done after everyone was removed so the relief workers wouldn't have to walk through it.

This next picture is looking outside from inside the dome. The smell of urine and feces is almost unbearable in the dome. The floor was completely sticky and your boots would stick to it. I had to was my boot soles off before I would let them inside my helo. The people would literally pee or crap wherever they were standing or even wipe it on the walls!

This picture was taken standing on the main deck looking down onto the field. You can see the light from above where they kicked the slats out to let the light in and some heat out. My understanding is that it was almost unbearably hot inside in the following days. If you look real close, you can see where the NO Saints will never play football again!

This next picture is looking down from the parking garage onto the flooded street. This small moat is what prevented the people from getting up onto the bridge in the background and walking out.

I took this shot on the east side of the dome looking west. You can see on the left side of the picture the impenetrable moat that prevented the people from getting to the bridge and walking out of that horrible coffin. Guess it was to far of a walk to simply save one's self. The Entergy building is hiding all the rubbish on the east side where it was particularly nasty.

I think that the Cancer and other odd disease rates will Triple in the next 20 yrs if they ever let people back in the the City to live. In any other circumstance, the entire place would be roped off as the Worst HAZmat event on US soil. It should be monitored and not repopulated.

    What a mess :(

I think a MOAB would have just given legitimacy to their argument that Bush conjured up the Hurricane to suppress them!
E.L. No problem, you might as well join in my misery! [beer]

    Hey Sniper

We keep hearing stories of the Mexican army unit that came for relief efforts was armed when the media says it was unarmed. What's the truth?

Never saw any Mexican Army personnel. The only thing I saw was a Singapore Chinook and the Germans sent in SAR personnel, but they were wearing civilian uniforms. I only heard about the Mexicans. The Germans weren't carrying any weaponry though. Even if the Mexicans were carrying weapons, would you blame them? What country knows our laws and loop holes better than the Mexicans!

NOTE: Melbo, this would be an appropriate place to insert that Mexian bandito bannanna that we used to have on WR, the one with the bandoleers and the pistols.
