Always like seeing photos of other parts of the country, especially wooded areas. Thanks for sharing the link of the nice photography from your area. The South would be an area I'd like to live in, if I ever left Oregon.

Nice fawn photos. Somewhere though it should at least explain that these are photoshoped from several photographs. You can't have shadows from a lightsource illuminating from the left on one deer then from the right on another. It is just a tad misleading to not disclose that it is a montage (assembled from several). Just my 2 cents :dunno:

ADD: Then again I could be just jealous that I don't have anything like these around my house.... just concrete and asphalt. The city sucks !

They are 'photo shopped', as in he shoots in RAW and uses PS for 'developing' from RAW into JPG or whatever. Not photoshopped the way we use the term these days. None of these pics have been cut and pasted to form a montage.

I've watched him shoot and this guy did some amazing things at my wedding. I think the way a person can capture light is what may define them as an artist. (And a $5000 camera body can't hurt either)

The average file size after shot in RAW format is around 19MB

Hartage is most definitely wrong. The photo in question is mine and is not, as in NOT, a montage. Read the story beneath the photo; it explains how I was able to take the shot. The photo has but one light source: the sun.

I have started playing with raw, it's driving me nuts so far. The proprietary software from Olympus is NOT user friendly, so I've gone to Photoshop CS2. Works much better in my mind at least. But there are several extra steps involved in getting the shots off the camera and into useable jpeg or bmp forms. And (of course) the number of shots on the card is much reduced; a full day of shooting just won't happen without downloads or extra cards. My Oly will hold well over a thousand "we wuz dere" jpeg shots, but only about 35 in raw. (Just gotta, must, have to, get CS2 on the laptop.)
