Start a Fire Using a Flint Sparking Tool

I use an actual flint and a carbon steel striker sometimes, just to prove a point - You definitely need pre-prepared tinder for that though, at least if you live on this rainy little island. I have char cloth (never throw away an old pair of jeans!), a length of hemp cord, some punkwood and a little bag of amadou that I bought rather than made myself.
