Alright, time to get this post running. I have five pouches of sterile emergency drinking water used by the military in survival kits and vest. There is four ounces of water in each mylar lined aluminum pouch. Looking for five dollars plus shipping.
I don't believe it has one. I searched the edge for a exp. date or other stamped form of date and can't find one. Since it is sterile and sealed in a mylar bag, as long as there isn't a leak, it should be ok. I have drank some before and it does take on a plastic taste, but hey, it is labeled emergency dringking water! I can ask my guys if there is a date, but I don't think there is.
Anything held in plastic long enough will achieve what food scientist call "plasterization." Won't harm you, just tastes a little like plastic.
I have several cases of it.It is sterile and perfect for cleaning wounds.I keep a pack or two in all my first aid kits.Good stuff.
