I had a nice five paragraph, one page background post to expose my dark humor(Firefighter/First Responder), my witty intelligence (published poet and Dual Major Degree), Preps condition(Semi-prepared), and my status (married with children), but the interwebs ate it...and it's been a long day for me so you'll find out how my belief follows Heinlein's quote about specialization. I tend to be more book knowledge than hands-on as I can be accident prone. So, this little synopsis will have to do until we're creating, making or designing something cool and start laughing until it fails, crashes , lets out smoke, compiles wrong, or blows up. Then we'll stick it on youtube to be a prime example of what NOT to do, and be famous.
Welcome to our Monkey Tree... Pick yourself out a branch, and have a look around... Lots of great Info to be had here, and even a few Good Folks, to get to know....
Welcome aboard.,,,,seein's how you're accident prone,,,I'll give ya a hint,,,when ya find your limb in the monkey tree ,,,,don't trim the limb between you and the tree,,,,
Welcome...sounds like some hands on first aid might be in order? ETA: forget about the scalpel, suturing kit and scissors
Just two weeks ago I was holding a big branch and had a disagreement with the sawzall and it tried to take a my left index finger off at the last knuckle... Never figured out what I did to it. I usually keep a branch between me and the saw but this one didn't have any. I know "HOW" to work, I just find out new things the designers didn't caution me on. Then a few surgeries later, almost good as I was... Sorta. I'm usually the first First Responder to the scene... Especially my own.
An accident prone fire fighter , that must mean your boo boo book is about already full huh ? be sure an take pictures we thrive on seeing other people's blood . and welcome .
Hello @Battle Badger & welcome to the monkey. Glad you found us and signed up. Prepping with kids is interesting. They absorb what you are doing, plus they are always out-growing some of what you prepped. I look forward to your posts.
Welcome to the monkey... enjoy the tree and find a branch you don't mind sharing with another monkey...
