I've come to appreciate how okra can thicken a good gumbo, and I'll eat some fried okra now & then - but I never really cared for okra. My Hoosier mother loves the stuff though, once my Florida father taught her to cook "southern style".
I guess mullet is a taste one has to grow up with - it IS rather strongly oily, compared to many other fish. I find Talapia and most "restaurant fish" to be boringly bland.
Wild caught catfish is excellent, but I find pond-raised cats to be too bland too.
'Possum - nah, y'all can have my share. Once I killed a couple in my house, and seeing how they feed - I'd be eating grass before tucking into 'Possum . . . "Rats on Steroids". :sneaky:

I tried to explain this one to Tracy , and a friend from Michigan.....if you're using the grill? It's "cookin' out".....
