The 10 Commandments of Campfire Cooking

side of my house i have a fenced in yard its my woodcraft yard and fire pit clothing line so on my primitive outdoor work area 6 months of the year i cook outside 90% of the time i have plenty of time to do it and i dont like to buy gas for inside stove and when i do buy it i want to save it for winter i am adicted to my dutch oven to the point i pic food that i can cook in that. This summer its on my todo list to upgrade the fire pit now its a 14 inch concreat cirlce one idea a long pit fire then i seen in one of dave cantenburys videos he has a large circle ground level i am guessing 8 foot accross one side has a rock wall to reflect heat i love it would be perfect think i will go that route

 

That is a crap ton of fire to be dealing with. Jumping from 14" to 8' is a little extreme, no?
