That would be the ultimate bonus...but we would have to become home wine and beer brewers to support our drinking habits and live off the fat of the land like MM. Perhaps the brewing part would be a good start!

 

I bet if you lived closer to the Mason-Dixon, we could find a way to rule the world while sitting on the porch drinking beer

 

Stills are easy to make, it's the mash recipes that are scarce. And a carbon filter on the vent keeps the revenooers from tipping on the location. I bet I know a bit of land that could support a still somewhere between here and a log cabin. And, what is left after making the sipping part is good feed for the hogs.

(And I think it's legal to make your own for your own consumption. The tribe might consume a goodly quantity when the snow is falling. (Is own comsumption part of barter?)

actually, have made beer. Used to cook up a batch every month when I was a single man.

It is as close as you can get to being french without actually being french.
