Well another point on the way things are going to hell. Worked in town here 21 years so far. First 15 years, no officer involved shooting. Last five years we have had 2, one with injury the other holes in a truck. This year, 2 fatal shootings and yesterday, the third with a we don't know, because the guy drove away from the officer, who was on foot after trying to run him down.

And before we get to trigger happy, the 2 fatal shootings are on tape for part or all of it, one suspect attacked the officer with a knife, the other tried to shoot the officer. The third is the 1st time the officer has ever fired after retiring from a 28 year career in Calif, big cities.

Seems there are Folks who just can't seems to understand what it means to live in a "Civilized" Society.... They seem to think that if they do NOT get caught, it must be "OK" to do whatever they want.... And when they DO get caught, it is ALL the fault of the Police Officer, and if they can "Get Away", by running, or KILLING the Officer, It was, again, ALL OK... Where do these Ideas come from? How were these folks Raised, and by what kind of Parents?

I think you just hit the nail on the head, BTPost. Combined with the lack of concern for life itself.
