The evolutionary leg race between predator and prey

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.

The smart money in this morning's event is on the giraffe.

 

Innovation, adaptation, and ingenuity will triumph over brawn--lol--most of the time.

 

you forgot age and treachery....between the three listed above and these two...it is about all I got left these days....Old age has finally caught up with a misspent youth...but damn it was a ride....

 

Have heard it said that we should not want to die gracefully but skid into it at full speed shouting "Yahoooo, what a ride". Hank Williams had a song--Live Fast, Love Hard, and Leave a beautiful memory. A lady friend said she wanted to die at the hands of a jealous wife.
