This article has a color coded map of state nullification: http://firearmsfreedomact.com/ The Firearms Freedom Act (FFA) is sweeping the Nation. June 3rd, 2010 Originally introduced and passed in Montana, the FFA declares that any firearms made and retained in-state are beyond the authority of Congress under its constitutional power to regulate commerce among the states. Following initial Montana enactment, clones of the Firearms Freedom Act have subsequently been enacted in Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming and South Dakota, and other clones have been introduced in the legislatures of twenty-some other states. The FFA is primarily a Tenth Amendment challenge to the powers of Congress under the “commerce clause,” with firearms as the object – it is a state’s rights exercise. http://firearmsfreedomact.com/map.gif
The states on the map that are red might as well be labeled "No Fing Way" rather than "Nothing Yet"...
I'd like to see the same thing applied to incandescent light bulbs once we are mandated to buy CLFs...just sayin... Actually I'd like them to expand it like it should be expanded to "anything made and retained in-state is beyond the authority of Congress under its constitutional power to regulate commerce among the states", that may just be me though.
You will always be able to buy your incandescent bulbs. They run under the names "rough service, fan bulbs, garage door bulbs, appliance bulbs, oven bulbs. " The only difference between these bulbs, is the globe is a bit smaller, the filament is thicker, and the oven bulb has a heat coating on the glass. and they will always be available, because you CAN NOT use the twisties in the oven. Twisties will also not fit most refrigerators, and should not be forced into any Chamberlain garage door operator (they will not fit properly, and can break the socket, or cause a fire by arcing across the contacts. )
kellory is so right, I purchased 6 dz back in 2004. Placed them in selected spots where I like the cooler temp sepia style light. Fer' Instance, the master bathroom has a couple of these rough duty lamps and is great to walk in half asleep and get the cozy yellow tinted light instead of bright white crap of the twisties. Another plus is that I have not replaced any of the incandescents or the twisties. More a case of building a new home and over sizing the wire and deratting loads on the circuits. Live Long and Prosper, screw the Chinese and their twistie lamps. You did know that's where they come from didn't you?
BTW, Maryland's bill entiled Firearms Freedom Act 2013 was quickly squashed by the LibDem retards in the MD General Assy.
