IMHO All these pay outs to cronies Miss the mark on fixing the economy big time . People who fear losing their jobs or retirement savings(And that's most of us) Won't go back to insane borrowing and spending...So if they prop up the big3 automakers. Who in America is gonna buy their over regulated bloated products? (I understand they do fairly well overseas).
You are right. Considering the glutony in American consumption, when the level of sustainable consumption shakes out, the businesses that have been propped up will still have to cut back production/employment/expenses to be in line. whoa, run on sentence ...
