Post 1161. My last.

As many of you may have noticed when Clyde "the Bard" became a liquidator and consolidator, so went the way of he happy posts. After spending the last 3-4 years rereading US History I have come to the final conclusion that our forefathers would be amazed at the result of the experiment in creating this Republic.

Freedom and liberty flicker while our country descends into a nanny state where in one swipe of the pen with immigation, over 50% of the inhabitants will become minimal tax paying citizens who expect a handout from the .gov. As a result, they will prevent the wealthy from leaving this country and tax us to the end. Socialism has arrived in the form of a very centralized government that knows and controls everything. This will be most evident when we become the cashless society....which isn't too far away.

Today I realized the government swallowed America like a Boa constrictor swallows its prey -- first squeezing it to death and then slowly swallowing and digesting it. It is too late and writing about it on the internet is as useful as screaming at the top of my lungs in the forest. So I am done.

Back to reality. I don't advocate violent overthrow but will simply vote for the most conservative of the lot and try to postpone the inevitable so I don't have to witness the death throws while setting my children up with a chance to exit stage left at their discretion. I do advocate provacative discussion and dissent. I will prepare and have my exit strategies in place.....something I have neglected since I derailed myself into thinking this is "changeable". In reality the destiny of this great nation was cast since the beginning of time and I can't hijack the destiny train from the Creator Himself.

Keep prepping. MM is right. When all this crashes the last and best hope for this nation will be those who prepared. Onto the ash heap of history this nation will fall with the patriots standing ready to rebuild what is left....probably in a microcosm of the size we see today.
