Just the facts Mam. Charts of what the money goes for, some projected, some not. No use preparing for TSHTF, we are already in the early to middle stages depending on where you live.

My wife's uncle worked at the Sparrow Point Shipyard in Maryland and retired to the house he had bought in a nice middle class neighborhood while working. Today the police don't go into that area and when he died and his widow wanted to sell it, 10 years ago, it was worthless. At its peak the shipyard and steel mill employed 33,000 people. Of interest today it is close to where the ship hit the bridge.

In a way the decline of the industrial base and the cities may well have just been a fore taste of what we are in as a nation and without some changes, where we are headed. Your opinion may vary on the changes needed, but something has to change.

Congress and the president kind of remind me of the results of a rich uncle dying. He had no children and left no will, so all of the family with any claim at all is fighting for their fair share of his money. Of course the lawyers are going to get most of it, but every claim holder will do what he has to do to get "their share". If in the process they destroy the legacy or the country, they don't care, they just want their share. One study indicates about a quarter of a trillion missing last year to the heirs and their lawyers.

And that doesn't count the money misspent on planes that don't meet spec's or ships, or the Ukraine, etc. Or the real elephant in the room, money that used to be raised and spent by the states. Now that the feds pay for it, every hog has his favorite trough and we spend $500,000 a bed for tiny houses for the homeless, Of course those in charge get millions to manage the projects and it is all paid for by the national government so it is free money in their eyes.

This is disgusting. These idiots are totally and completely out of control and it's like they don't understand we are BROKE. They just continue on like nothing has changed, throwing humanitarian aid here and there, billions going out of the country never to return... They are insane. Completely and utterly insane. Furthermore, they will never stop - NEVER!

Something must be done to take away their power to spend what we don't have. To state the obvious, they will never vote to take away that power so - checkmate! The people will have to demand it. I mean, stand in the streets with ropes, pitchforks and torches and demand it...but that will never happen because they won't let it. So, checkmate.

Zerohedge top headline today says interest is now 1.6 TRILLION per year, taking over the top spot in the budget. If memory serves me correctly, that’s TWICE the defense budget. Since we aren’t running a budget surplus, this will get larger every year. It won’t be long now folks…dollars will have to become worthless.

The most ignored point in the Constitution is that only the House, selected by the people has the right to spend money. Not the president, not the senate, not the courts, not the various officials, only the House. We the people select them and they and the parties stab us in the back. It can stop the checks, but it won't. Harry Truman said no honest politician should leave office with more wealth than he had when he came in, Check AOC numbers or most of the rest of them. Sad comment on our leadership. from president on down to dog catcher.

This country is broke financially and morally. This is the end times for the USA on so many levels --corrupt politicians, 50% of the people don't work and are subsidized by the few who do, we are so far in debt there is no way out, multi level justice system, punishment for crimes got unpunished. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

While it is Easter, we can pray for the rebirth of America as well as give thanks for the return of the risen Christ and all that promises.

Time to beg forgiveness from the moderators again, getting into both politics and religion in same set of posts is pushing the limits of the Monkey. Hard not to at times as most of our problems seem to be beyond our present system of political parties and social systems ability to solve them and we may , in football terms, need a Hail Mary pass to get to some survivable end point.

I wonder if god is looking down and saying-- is it worth saving these people I have given so much to and they have just squanderd it away with their greed and love of money and moral decay.

Budget cutting to the government has nothing to do with cutting federal agencies budgets. Government BS means agencies don't get an automatic budget increase--and they call it budget cutting --their lies never cease to amaze me.

I do not believe God will do this for us. We caused all these problems ourselves via hubris and arrogance and we must fix the problem ourselves and by doing so learn from our mistakes. God will indeed help us, give us strength and guidance, but will not do it. God helps those that help themselves. The power to spend somehow must be taken from their hands. For example, the bridge that collapsed in Baltimore. Is that a federal bridge or federal highway? If not, why is the federal government going to rebuild it and why does Biden have the power to simply wave his hand and make it so? Biden is doing it for votes, everyone can see that, but why does he have the power to spend money like this?
