Yes, I'm playing with my fancy digital camera...figured it had to be good for something. The quail are everywhere at this time of year. ps - that's across the street into the neighbors yard (I was testing the telephoto lens).
I didn't get a picture of it, but last night I saw four coon hunters in my neighbors yard! Sorry, didn't think to get a picture with me an my pistol shoo'ing them away.
Raccoon's. They use dogs to run them up a tree at night and then using spot lights, head lamps, and a rifle, shoot them out of the trees. The picture that Melbo posted is pretty accurate!
That's what I was originally thinking, but then thought that maybe it was an animal I was unfamiliar with. Now; seeing a photo of an actual one, I see that it is an unfamiliar animal to me Thanks for the clarification. I'll be giggling about that one all day!
