I think its a matter of aesthetics when it comes to 'comic' commentators on socio/political issues, in the same way as differences between American and British humour often don't travel well across the Atlantic sometimes. Oliver goes over the top in his presentations at times...some appreciate it...and some do not...sometimes I enjoy it...and some don't. I have never acquired a liking for the Don Rickles style of some American humour. Whatever Gutfeld's message, he just does not have a good handle on satire...his 'parody' is klunky and not very well expressed.
