After his arrest, the man reportedly told detectives he took it to stop the owner from hunting in the area.

    Archibald was identified as the culprit and turned himself in to authorities. He was booked into the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placeName w:st="on">Livingston</st1:placeName> <st1:placeName w:st="on">Parish</st1:placeName> <st1:placeName w:st="on">Detention</st1:placeName> <st1:placeType w:st="on">Center</st1:placeType></st1:place> on one count of criminal trespassing and one count of theft. His bond was set at $10,500."

    Year 'fore last, my uncle had me buy two $600 top of the line game cameras, to try and catch some relatives stealing from him. I showed him how to use them, and said I'd help him hide them on the weekend... he couldn't wait, didn't tell me, and installed them. One was stole the first night. Arrggh! He placed the next one so far away it only captured the tree limbs moving back and forth.

    Decoy cameras I think would be the ticket to catching the thief... but I don't have one to loan him.
