KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING IS NOT ILLEGAL. That is protected under his 1st Amendment rights. The NFA would only come into play, if he actually cut out the device from the card, to where he could use it. This would be like someone being arrested for having the "recipe" of how to use fertilizer and diesel fuel, to make an explosive device. Until they actually make that device, they haven't broken the law! Pretty sure that even if his suit doesn't turn over the NFA, the ATF is going to lose their case, BIG TIME. Then turn around and sue them, for false arrest and imprisonment, for the value of the lawyer's fees, to defend himself. Once the ATF gets their dick slapped a few times, they won't be in such a hurry to violate people's inalienable rights!!
Oh they aren't going to care. It's the taxpayers (you and me) that are footing the bill. The don't care how much the lose, it'll just be a line item expense in their budget.
The way I understand it, it's not your knowledge of a subject that concerns them. It's when you teach someone else. That's what gets them fired up. You're getting onto their turf as they see it. "Constructive possession" is another of their special charges. Anybody that has shoes with laces or a garden hose is at risk.
The screams to pack the Supreme Court by the left is not only due to the abortion decision, the court is off the reservation and talking about enforcing the Constitution. Religion, freedom of speech, right to bear arms, limits on the federal powers, all are being questioned and the left and federalists are very very frightened. They are cherry picking things to scream about for political purposes, inflame their base if possible, but don't give the other side a cause to rally around. All the propaganda about the court outlawing abortion, limiting prayer, gun rights, is just that, the court outlawed nothing. It said the federal government did not have the power to make laws in that area, that was either left to the states or were rights that were not allowed to be limited by any political body. The very things that the founders of this country feared are happening. They created a system of checks and balances in order to try to limit the dangers of mob rule, it is working at this time, but it is under attack by the mob.
@duane, you stated exactly what I've been seeing as well. The thing that amazes me is that the extremists on the political left can't understand that the things the Supreme Court are doing don't just benefit the white Christian male that they see as their enemy. These things benefit everyone. Lets hope it keeps working.
The left knows full well what the court is doing, and they are pissed because it takes away their power over the people. They are pissed we got back some of our gun rights, and look to be getting them all back this year, their pissed that their socialist birth control got slammed in the door after 50 years of protections. And their pissed that we the people get to decide things they don't want us deciding! They know full well what's going to happen, and they will try everything they can to stop it, things like Impeaching Thomas, stacking the court, or, simply ignoring the court until some one steps up and forces the DOJ to do it's God damn job! Don't make the mistake believing the left is blind, or ignorant of things, they know full well what they are doing, they know full well it is against the constitution, and they defy us to make it stick, so they can get away with what ever as long as they can, until a court finally settles things, at least until they come up with some new radical plan to side step the law again to keep you and I under their thumbs!
Well I imagine those that lost the family farm due to crop failure because they couldn't get fertilizer and insecticides nor fuel for their equipment are not totally backing the green incentives ordered by the government. Interesting looking at the formally very successful governments that have collapsed. Seems like race, economics, green practices, etc, can have an impact that is less than positive on ones lifestyle. But don't worry, the next group to take over will tell you that it is all worth it to save the planet, the need for equity, or that they have solved the problems that caused the others to fail.
Elections have results far beyond what appears in the papers and the efforts of the supreme court in limiting regulatory overreach could make the abortion fight seem like a childish tantrum. Go Fu** Me be like: With out "go fu** me" playing games with releasing Matthew Hooves legal defense money, this case would have already been over, earlier this year before all those awesome sauce supreme Court rulings that are totally in Matthews favor. So by trying to be a biden admin sycophant, "go fu** me" may have just fat manned the NFA.
The ATF is trying to be sneaky and lump forced reset triggers in with glock switch machine gun charges.
