I had to use an alternate username when registering because my usual one, "Wilson" was marked as a spam name. Well, it's rare that I actually get to use it, as it's fairly common, and would love to have it on here. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction? Who should I be talking to? Thanks!
"Whiskey###" is much cooler for what it's worth. I was an admin of a forum once and as I recall, to do something like this, you'd have to UPDATE the back-end SQL table that stored user info/profile. The user ID would remain the same so I don't think there would be any referential integrity issue. But, I guess it would depend on the back-end tables. The logon might be the wrench in the gears. I was using PHPBB. Maybe vBulletin has much cooler features.
We can fix it for you without losing anything else. Send me or any admin (black type face in the ID box with the avatar) a PM with EXACTLY what you want it to be, and give some time for it to happen in case no one is on line or too busy for immediate attention. (I do it with cut and paste to avoid the dyslexic finger syndrome.) You'll get a PM when it's done if you don't see it at first. We don't need to go directly into the tables (a good thing in my case) vB has a "form" (actually the data from the table) on you that we can change. A very good thing it's so easy, or I'd still be sitting on the curb scratching my noggin. And no, the ID number remains the same, no reference problems.
