Ok, Your house is flooding and your forced into the attic, Can you shoot a hole large enough in the roof to escape?

 

Largely depends on what your roof is made of.
Plywood is usually pretty durable,so it would take a lot of rounds to accomplish much of a hole.

The test of one gun and one type of ammunition is not enough to come up with any viable conclusion.
that and the fact the skill of the shooter comes into question . no offense.

 

Doing experiments with unusual guns is not going to be the biggest threat . There are many greater weapons out there used in penetrating doors.
The old door does not represent the vast majority of doors in the world (to my knowledge) and many doors are less than what you are demonstrating with .
Cheap housing often uses interior doors which are very frail .
Good homes generally have solid core exterior doors that are a veneer over chip or particle board. very heavy and durable .
The wide range of doors and calibers and guns available would be a giant task to undertake ,
It is relatively unlikely some one will use an air gun to invade a home , or use to defend a home for that matter .
If the threat is on the other side of a impenetrable door , it's not a threat yet.
The idea of drawing conclusions from some of these tests should be factual and accurate , which you do for the most part.

but for this door penetrating issue , please accept this recommendation .
