VIRGINIA TRAFFIC STOP??

So, officers attempt to stop, Lt. Continues on clearly slowed down and uses his blinker to signal he knows the police are behind him and will be complying, that's all legal and should have not gotten the fuzz all bent out of shape, but did. They had no idea this guy was an Army officer it that he was black, that info didn't become available until the Lt. Rolled down the window. Yes, he should have complied, and yes, he was in the wrong for not complying with the cops ever confusing and contradictory orders.
There is still ZERO excuse for how the senior Officer acted or his comments and threats, clearly an abuse of power and well outside the wire of what is even civil!
Two wrongs don't make a right, and the Army Lt. was being a arrogant prick by not Instantly following commands, and starts questioning the stop! I get the fear the blacks have, but they still need to DO as they are told, and if they think they are not being treated fairly and within the law, they have many options to redress the situation! It's easier to fight when your not dead, this Lt. Could have gotten him self shot for being non corporative in a high stress situation he was a part of escalating!

 

The police clearly over reacted. There was no threat. They did not like that his car looked like there could be 20 guys inside and tinted windows, but that's the job. Unless he is actively breaking the law or you have proof he's done so, you MUST be civil. Traffic violations are not a crime and they are certainly not a reason to mace someone.

Mace/pepper spray are alternatives to shooting and killing someone. That is the statute. When the police feel justified in shooting someone dead but have the alternative to taser or spray, they can choose to do that instead. Doing it to force compliance, instead of using your words, is a juvenile throwing a tantrum. The job is not easy and that is why short tempered morons shouldn't do it.

 

Back in my day, the ol' Kubaton would have been applied to his wrist and he would have exited the vehicle. Police seem to be afraid to go hands-on anymore unless the suspect has been tased or gassed. We didn't have tasers and only had CS spray, and it seemed that the same gene that made one commit crimes also made one immune to CS.

In the portion of the video shown, the LT appears to be in the right. We must obey lawful orders given by police, though at the end of the day it is better to save it for the court room for the un-lawful ones. Both of the cops should be forced into career changes for the way they allowed this train wreck to happen.
