I think the ass in the face is we have millions of elderly AMERICAN CITIZENS living in horrible situations because they can't afford to fix their roof water lines and floors in their homes. Some of these people cannot get out because they have limitations we have another million and more that have mental issues that live under bridges are have health issues and other problems that cause criminal activity. thousands of veterans that are homeless and all the above and wheres the love for them ?

All of this is caused by our legal system bleeding hearts and politicians that we have paid and paid and paid to NOT fix the problem it is a golden calf slot machine all they have to do is pull the handle and get a handful of cash. This is a emotional blackmail scheme they have no reason to solve it serves a purpose cheap labor for numerous businesses it is a cash cow for lawyers who defend Illegal aliens in courts all over the U.S. at 400 to 600 dollars a pop for misdemeanor cases more for felony cases as a public defender the judge can make a case that they are overworked and need more judges more money. The jails also use that same argument to take more tax dollars increasing your taxes if you own a home or not.

Having a system where we have a compact with each country to have a data base to vet these people we can do what Sam's club does get their information DOB and birth date and a picture. in addition get a scan of whole palm finger prints takes less than 10 seconds and some family background and phone numbers or county where family lives. they pay us for that 50 to a hundred bucks a hell of a lot less than the thousands a mule demands that would allow them to work here that's all there are plenty of organizations that can handle their other needs they know and use these anyway.

Confusion allows for money laundering misuse and theft of tax money because if they are in the shadows and do not use a real name with some kind of validation we cannot track the money from an individual where they got it to a payment that is money laundering by definition.

Perhaps we are not looking at this from the correct angle... We should ask ourselves what Mexico would do with thousands of illegal American parents and then children and do the same.

Also, the point here is to stop illegal immigration. The best way, fastest way, cheapest way and the sure-fired-100% way is to make the punishment too high to take the risk. Right? Now, what I am going to say sounds ugly but, as an engineer type, I am looking for a solution, not some simple band-aid, sort of like what are my options if I got a leaky pipe…

Obviously, death comes to mind but while it is part of the solution it is also a waste of resources but could be used as a deterrent for the criminal types or repeat offenders. Slavery is what I am talking about. Put a high-tech collar(s) on them that blows their head off (feet might be better) to keep them in line and sell them to the highest bidder: farms, stores, fast food, domestic help, companies/corporation, sex industry, whatever...no rights, no citizenship, slaves. Make them serve 20 years servitude then deport them...or not. This takes the cost off the taxpayer and would be a huge deterrent plus gives a cheap labor pool to individuals/companies that need it.

If they want to stop illegal immigration then stop it and quit playing games...shoot a batch at the border trying to cross and it would stop it dead in its tracks, no pun intended. Yes, they would still sneak in via tunnels or cargo containers but the severity of trying to cross would be a huge deterrent then enslave those that do manage to get inside the country. Seriously, they are making a huge deal out of nothing and we continue to pay and pay and pay for something could/should be dealt with quickly and severely.

Problem is, money and greed is all it takes to go either way.
Got a hot car you just picked up in Houston?
No problem head south and with the right hand shake you have a pass to go further south.

Hawaii use to have the highest rate of Motorcycle and Car theft, who'd a thunk.

If I would not have had a cut off switch to the electric fuel pump I would have been a member of the missing car brigade!

The Title to this Thread is just a BIT misleading... None of these buildings are still Walmart Stores, and haven't been for a long time... They are just BIG (Sq Foot) Open Buildings, that the .Gov could buy or Lease Dirt Cheap... As WALLYWORLD expanded in the last decade, they often overbuilt in one area with to many stores, too close together.. So they liquidated the non-performing locations, and Sold Off the properties for what they could get for them... If throngs keep going the way they have been, the .Gov will be buying up Shopping Malls, that are failing because in Internet Sales, and turning them into Human WareHouses for Illegals...

We are not taking these 'children' away from their parents...we are locking their parents up for breaking the law...someone has to keep the kids safe, and we are...

A couple of points to keep in mind here:
    • There are currently about 12,000 children in these centers. !0,000 of them came across the border alone.
    • There have been children in these detention centers for several years. This did not start with the Trump administration.
    • Under previous administrations the children slept on the floor using space blankets to stay warm. These facilities have been heavily upgraded since then (I believe by both the Obama and Trump admins) and now they have actual beds, cafeterias, education and recreation.
    • What is different is that the Trump administration is no longer selectively enforcing the laws passed by congress, but is instead enforcing them per the US Constitution.
    • The "No Tolerance" policy we have been told about by the press is a law passed by a Democrat majority Congress and signed into law by President Bush in 2008.
    • When Trump says "It's a Democrat law" and Congress needs to change it that's what he is talking about.
    • Trump is actually pushing the other two branches to once again start following their Constitutionally defined roles by doing his.
      • Either the courts can find the law Unconstitutional or Congress can change it and then the Executive Branch can stop enforcing it.
      • Note that Trump has called for a bipartisan effort to change the law
