I have been kicking this idea around for a long while, since 2010 to be exact. First the logic and reasoning: In 2009/2010 several things happened not going to list them all out, but a lot of those things revolved around the Obama Regime and set in motion short, mid and long term courses that have brought us to where we are as a Nation today. If you paid attention to Davos, The G20, and the Climate Summits you would have noticed At the same time Obama was setting a Domestic Course the Global Elite were setting a similar Global Course of a nature that would set the stage and lead to where we are globally and Domestically. I told Mrs Krap towards the end of 2010 that My Crystal Ball is telling me that we have 10-12 years to get our shit in order and to get as independent as possible of everything. My Crystal Ball was not wrong since 2010 the world and the USA has changed drastically. The USA is a very different place now than it was in 2010 and the World is a very different place. For me it has became almost like living on a alien planet among strange aliens now, beings that I have so little in common with that there is little if any common ground to be found that we can meet on. My crystal ball does not receive conspiracy theory BS, it looks at the real and likely chain of events that will follow a likely path into the future. Very little in the world of humanity on a large scale happens by accident or chance. About the only things that can't be predicted are Natural Events and Disasters. So here we are all of these years later almost exactly where the crystal ball said we would be in 2010. Which we were actually in when Covid and 2020 rolled in. It is beyond obvious that Covid and its aftermath have been a intentional dry run to collect data and as a bonus to make some pretty major power shifts Domestically and globally. Just call Covid 2020 the precursor event to the Main Event that will actually be BAD. Think of a virus with a 70% + Mortality rate that does not present symptoms for 7-10 days released in a location with a lot of international travel in and out......You know like Wuhan China. Covid was around the globe before enyone even know the words Covid19. My crystal ball looking at the events, Summits, Language and actions predicts that virus is very likely to be released in the near future in consort with infrastructure attacks that will cripple grids, fuel, supply and communications. So what am I thinking? I am thinking of giving the opportunity for a handful of people to come and form a intentional community of sorts at Kamp Krap. Instead of my lease site idea how about a community with an acre to like and work on for a crazy high lot rent of $1 per year. Buying any kind of quality land is EXPENSIVE NOW 2020 and everyone bum rushing the rural land markets paying 3x more than what they were buying sight unseen was worth. The exact same pole barn I had built in 2012 for $9,000 cost $36,500 now, Portable building like I made the Cabin from are 2x-4x higher cost than they were in 2019. Getting out and Independent now is a very expensive venture and is simply out of reach for a vast majority of folks now. The Catch is this IS NOT a Employment offer, there are employment opportunities of about every type in a 45 mile radius with closest one being 5 miles and 20 miles out and the more Urban opportunities at 35 miles and 40miles out. Help wanted signs pretty much decorate every business and medical facility. Nope not many L.A. or NYC wages to be found but you are not going to find that anywhere rural and the cost of living is not like those places either. No Mortgage, No Rent, no to low grocery bills, Utilities optional.... solar encouraged. I am not paying utility bills or for solar set ups if you want them they are your bills RV is the ideal way to try this out as if you think I am dickhead that you just can't get along with you can put ball to hitch and just pull up stakes. No hard feelings either way. If you are dead beat not pulling your weight in the communal aspect of the community you can put ball to hitch and pull out You can be a individualist and still see the wisdom in working for the common good of the community. 3 people working the Gardens = A LOT of FOOD to split, 3 people working the livestock = A LOT of Beef, Pork and Poultry in the freezers. 3 people working on projects that benefit everyone is 300% faster and more efficient. Individualist with common goals are a powerful force. Individualist only concerned with themselves are easy prey. If you don't have the feeling that shit is going sideways fast now then IMO you have very poor senses The 230 trillion in unfunded liabilities and deficit alone are not sustainable. I don't where that breaks and turns to likwid poop but we are going to find out. The economy is being held together with rusty baling wire and bubble gum. The Radical Left hates everyone and the Radical Right is not far behind in that race. The next pandemic is going to be released sooner or later and it will make Covid19 and its effects look like a day on the kindergarten play ground. Inflation is going to kick in hard again and no prices are not going to go down. The cards holding up the whole house of cards are really starting to shake and wobble. This is rough and more putting thoughts together and feeling out possibilities. There is not getting around that there is a lot of strength in numbers and there is no getting around the possibility of conflict and disagreement within numbers. No getting around I am not a social butterfly and am a little on the coarse side and often not the easiest person to get along with So tossing this salad out there to see what others think of it.

Great and generous offer Kamp, but I feel the $1 a year price tag will attract elements you don't care care for. If not so far away I would be there in a minute at fair market value just because I think you'd be a great neighbor. I'm surrounded by idjits who don't know which end of a screwdriver to use.
Now that's a deal of a lifetime,, and actually to good to turn down. I've got a lot going on in my life right now that I'm really thinking about just selling off my junk , take what I can , and grab a few necessities , tell everyone to piss off , and just run off and get lost . My biggest hold right now is a granddaughter that I need to make sure she gets taken care of ,, because of some f'kd up family issues. I totally agree with you ,, things are not gonna get any better ,, and very few folks I know in my circle,, just seem to not care about where we as a country are headed. I'm gonna have to keep this offer in mind ,, it surely is something I've seriously been pondering on , and trying to figure out how to put something like this together. Wow. It seems everyone here is thinking exactly like me...things are truly going to come apart this time, my guess is 2024-2025. It seems they are doing their level best to ensure it truly happens and damn the consequences. I definitely like the idea as I am not sure folks around here are going to be able to grow enough to feed everyone, everyone has gardens, of course, and lots raise livestock but...don't know how this will play out.... This does give us another option. I honestly don't know what we will do when it happens. I thought, if all failed, to transfer my assets to Russian bank, put the wife on a flight and take it from there but that isn't such a good idea now since the US government sanctioned Russia plus Russians aren't so thrilled with Americans these days since we are helping to kill their young men...for good reason, but understandably they don't give a damn and I don't blame them for that... So, Stay? Go? I think I would stay but this country won't allow me to bring my niece here so do I really have a reason to stay? No family here. No debts. I can sell out for a huge profit. I do have one or two friends we have made in the 8-years here but they have families... So, in truth, I really don't have a reason to stay, especially if America is dead. Am I a patriotic? Sure, proved throughout my lifetime but I think the same individualism that made America great makes it hard to come together and organized and - well - I just don't know if Americans will fight due to a lot of reasons, mostly too damn fat and happy. So, I was thinking about Argentina and the more I have been considering it the more I like it. It's not like I haven't done stuff like this before, wife is young enough to handle it, we've more than enough money to do it and the dollar will go a lot farther, at least until it fails, and immigration is quite easy to do. We could get there, purchase some small vineyard with extra farmland, bring the family together, live like kings... Or, we could go to Kamp Krapper...but damn, it's in Illinois! That's a bit too close to the beast for me... Geez, I don't know, I need to think about this more...

Boy-oh-boy I just got kicked in the nuts. I brought Kamp Krapper up to my wife last night as an option and was informed that my niece and husband have decided they no longer want to come to America. WTH? They said they do not want their daughter growing up in a country whose Christian morals have so obviously gone to hell, they actually said 'evil'. I guess they were trying to find a film to watch and every damn new film seems to have something about DEI even to the point of making the film ridiculous and - well - they said screw it. Here is the kicker...they said they would rather live in a Muslim country like they are now than be forced to accept men in skirts in girl bathrooms or lawful mutilation children, etc., etc., etc... also said while their government also locks up political opponents, they are not forced to accept things that go against their religion, Christian or Muslin. I was, and still am, stun...but I can find no good counter arguments except the hope these things change in the future. However, they said why 'hope' when they know that in their current country a very small minority, such as the LGBTQ community, would never be allowed to force the acceptance of nonsense upon the majority, was the example they used among others...The also use the corruption of the Biden administration as no better than their own government and stealing of the election - well - it happens all the time there. It went on and on...and I was left speechless and could not defend my reasons. I did try 'better quality of life' and they replied, "for how much longer" as her husband has a Master of Economics from Moscow University... I was cornered and left with no logically arguments - none! Anyway, I am gutted. In the end, I managed to beg them to not finalize their decision until 2024 and due to their admiration for President Trump they agreed. I didn't have the heart to tell them I do not believe he will be elected. All I can say is 2024 better have some damn 'good' news, some 'good' surprises...for a change. EDIT: I'm still stunned...imagine saying they don't want to come to America...
Hmm a possibility since I don't have much holding me here except a house, remote property, a few family and a couple of lazy cats that I can pack up and take anywhere. In the process of clearing mine and my late wife's 40+ years of accumulation out which could take awhile. Was kind of wondering what I would do with myself after all the dust settles. I'm afraid the city where my house is located may soon be flooded with illegal aliens (don't say "migrant", they're invaders) since it's located only about 60 miles north of the border and the Border Partol is just ushering them in by the tens of thousands. Maybe go live on the remote mountain property with the few friends I have there. Or just go to Vegas, buy 50 lbs of Viagra and hire a couple of escorts until the money runs out, then find a bridge to jump off. Or...find purpose once again in life and become a Krapper? Decisions, decisions.

The entire world wants to come here and here is a healthy, educated, hardworking young couple living in a 3rd world that tries the legal approach, foiled numerous times and relooks their reason and say, "Maybe this isn't a good idea..." and decide to stay there rather than come here. I'm flat out stunned! This is how bad we look to the rest of the world! I'm with @Wildbilly. I think the Viagra and Vegas is a hell'va plan. Dying with one's boots on (though I normally take mine off to do the deed) has got to be in the top 3 ways to check out...not to keen on the bridge idea though. Can we rethink that part a bit? Hell, maybe the Leftists will get some backbone and try to physically force their ways upon us and we can die happily in a grand pile of brass while ridding the nation of Leftist Commies! Kamp, it's a great idea you have there. Damn, I wish you were right down the road. However as a Texan, I will stand with Texas as long as she stands. If my bones end up bleaching in the sun, I'd rather not have them snowed over. Brrrr.the I have community and extended family here that look to me for guidance. No way I could move them all. Especially not to the frozen murderous Yankee Hell of South Chicago. (I know you're not, but I'd never convince them they wouldn't immediately be disarmed, imprisoned, and thier children sold into drug addicted sex slavery.) If I had to leave the country, Mexico or Canada. I speak the languages well and while I understand and have bonded with Mexicans better, my ne'er-do-well and unmet father was a well documented Brit that became a Canadian. Dual citizenship looks easy according to the paperwork. Lots of siblings there to verify it all.
We don't get much snow here every great once in a while a foot will drop and is gone in 2-3 days, usually 2-3 weeks of 0-20 but mostly 30-40. We Do Get ICE. The bulk of our weather is dictated by what swirls up out of the Gulf and where our prevailing winds out of the SW Come from. LOL I was not so much putting a recruitment add out as feeling the idea out. Most of us here are pretty well rooted in and well established in our areas and would be about as likely as I would be to relocate. We do get the genuine not a spam bot nooblet on occasion that might be trying to figure this stuff all out. A few things they are going to learn fast or the hard way is that Land is NOT Affordable now days and Cheap Land is Cheap for a reason. I would love to say getting into the prepper/farmstead/homestead life is affordable and easy. It just is not either if you are looking at being sustainable and secure for more than 3-6 Months. Ok I am a bit on the extreme side in my being prepared, sustainable and as independent of society and the fake world as I can be. LOL a Prepper has a pantry full of food.... I have a 40' high cube climate controlled shipping container and twin to it right beside it filled with spare parts, chemicals, and at least 3 of every tool as backups. I admit I cross the fine line of what you need and what you want more often than I should, and I expose my self probably too much.Can't help it I like sharing what I am up to and hoping other get motivated or inspired. I have pretty simple philosophy about being prepared. The better prepared everyone else is, the less holes I will have to dig when things get really bad. I try to stay out of the dark and doom stuff. That is getting harder and harder to do. We are getting very close to multiple breaking points and UNITED States is anything but United now. We literally are destroying ourselves from within. I stand by what I said. When it happens it will happen hard and it will happen fast. When the first thing goes totally FUBAR everything else at the breaking point will go full FUBAR in a Cascade of failures. We got a light dose of this in 2020, that should have been every Americans call to Unity and finding common ground. The exact opposite happened we became even more divided and polarized. Any number of things can break and start the Cascade that will destroy the USA as we know it. What I fail to see is anyone trying even a little bit to lower the tensions and fix the root malfunctions. We effectively have no President , we have a man with advanced dementia carrying the football that I hope is kept at least arms length away from the buttons. We are living scary times and I am not seeing a path forward that does not take us right through the middle of a giant storm of chaos.
