Well, all ya gotta do is have some trucks disguised and delivery vans carrying a couple Qader missiles within say 100 miles of the straights. Sink a ship or two, then the straights would basically be closed.
These missiles are built at home and against civilian tankers .. gonna be plenty to go around. launch 2 each from each vehicle and scoot as it skims 10-15 feet off the waters surface.

Apparently, they have had their eyes on that ventilation shaft ever since it was constructed back in 2008. Just watching, making plans and waiting.

No one has mentioned the shock wave from that much explosive and the de-stabilization of the structure down there. I can't imagine their underground infrastructure would pass for even a good basement in the modern world.
