    Not here, I have Saigas in 7.62, 5.56. 12 Ga and .410...all are excellent guns that will survive hard use and abuse.

    Personally, I find that the "sportsterized" trigger group is ergonomically clumsier and recommend moving the trigger assembly forward to the standard AK location...and a pistol grip is a good idea...just make sure you use american parts to avoid 922(r) violations...

    EDIT: Never mind the alterations, I had forgotten what state you are in...

    First understand I know nothing about CA. gun laws. So here is my question.

    Do you have to register the Saiga? What about after you convert them?

    IMO I would rather have a sporting gun that the government WASN'T checking on than a "black rifle" that they were checking on. Registration ALWAYS leads to confiscation!

    Just look what has happen in NY, and NO. In NO they only went to the houses that had regestered guns. Not the thugs that didn't.
