Weekend Backpacking Trip: Pyramid Lake/Upper Ball and Lower Ball Lake - Long Canyon Creek Trail

    Had a great time taking my son out on a backpacking trip this past weekend. 2,500 feet of climbing and 6,000 feet of descent in North Idaho. Here are a few pictures from the Friday night thru Sunday noon 28 mile hike (18 miles on Saturday).

    Looks a lot like Northern Nevada where I lived for 15 years. Beautiful country, but long harsh winters.

    There is a lot of nice country around N. Idaho.. The winters aren't as long as they are around the great lakes. And not as cold.

    That is some beautiful country! We just finished a seven day trip in the Rockies earlier this week. I need to get some pics up for y'all..
