I love to see it. Valkman Monkeyman Cousin Jack BigUglyOne I know I'm missing someone. Anyway, Great work guys... Keep creating and keep posting pics!
My shop aint heated so when its under 30 out I dont think I'll be doing anymore untill it warms up. lol Besides need to get more steel first anyway.
Hmmmmmmmmm.... Sage? Sago? Sail? Sake? Salt? Samp? Sand? Sash? Scab? Scad? Scar? Scat? Scot? Scow? Scum? Scup? Seal? Seam? Sear? Seat? Sect? Seed? Seer? Self? Shad? Shag? Sham? Shed? Shill? Shin? Ship? oh you must mean..... S*** [nothome] Well all I got to say is....
I meant Sake but now I see that it should read Self and you brought un-authorised smilies into the thread...
Oh... Sake.... o.k..... I take it back.... Want me to delete the smilies? Yum... rice wine... was just getting ready for the traditional Japanese New Years Celebration with some Sake...
I think one of these guys should make me some shivs like these: I used to teach art in a penitentiary years ago, and the inmates there could make some nice ones and I learned a few tricks, although I prefer not to dirty my hands unless I have to. They must be balanced for throwing. I like the ones pictured above. 550 cord hand grip on the hilt. Boo -YOW.
Those look like pretty nice designs, can you give me the dimensions ? ... I'm waiting on some steel now but it looks like a fun one to build ... maybe with a black linen micarta grip ?
It is an 8" overall knife, 1 5/8" at the widest section, and the blade takes up just over 4". The lanyard in the back you can see, and I have no clue what "linen micarta" is
Micarta would probably make it handle-heavy and useless for throwing - unless you made the blade heavier also.
No definitely no micarta...unless of course you drilled out the handle Valkman? That might lighten the knife enough to offset the lightness of the blade. I've got a couple of throwing knives but they're heavier and daggers - they've also got real wood for handles and are not made like that. Oh wait, one is...nevermind.
I wish it was that warm up here....I made that push dagger while it was only 10 degrees in my garage, but I'm used to cold weather. I was born in the U.P.
