While looking for next seasons seeds and fertilizers I read a post on the Morgan County Seeds that is well worth thinking about,

    Dusting – Morgan County Seeds

How much of the here should we give up for the there? I am 88 with stage 4 cancer in remission and I would rather be in my greenhouse than a nursing home and was told 3 years ago I needed to go to one, With work I was able to get to the point that I am back on my feet and found out that a wheelbarrow makes a good walker. The geese are moving again and I love watching them at the pond at sunrise. Go visiting friend instead of going to concerts, but it is a lot cheaper and I am finding out more entertaining. 30 years ago I bought a greenhouse to be able to grow survival foods after TSHTF. Well it hasn't but I have had a lot of good food and pleasure out of that greenhouse and in her last year with Altzheimers my wife seemed to enjoy being there with me more than any place else.

My best preps have been the ones I use rather than the ones I keep. A good garden, a house with a little land, a good rototiller to make tilling easier, all good investments for the now as well as the possible then. Spock had the right idea for a greeting. May you "Live long and prosper."
