We are crazy lunatic gamers at our house. So, because I can see them from where I'm sitting, all the classics (backgammon, chess, checkers, chinese checkers), including cards for Bridge, Spades, and Shanghai. Taboo, Codenames, Give me the Brain, Turn the Tide (great game for camping), Exploding Kittens, Spanish bingo, Peptide, Poo (teenagers...), But Wait There's More, Scrabble, Pandemic, Scattergories, Scene It, Skipbo, Pandemic Legacy, Axis and Allies, Risk, Invasion from Outer Space, Babble On, Clue, Guess Who, and Parcheesi. Those are the ones stacked now on my bookcase. We play a couple of online games, also. Forget about SHTF, these help us keep our entertainment budget in hand.

No time for games unless it's drinking games ( Very Rare) most time is spent reading or shooting! At one time, I was into P.C. gaming, and still enjoy a little now and then. My newest is No Man's Sky, and it is highly addictive especially with the Rift 3D goggles!!! I may end up wasting a few hours a week playing, but other wise the wife and I prefer quiet time reading or maybe an old school, high stakes game of chess! She kicks my azz all the time, but i'm learning!!!

Slap the boars nuts and see if I am still fast enough to get to the fence and superman dive over it. More exciting and fun than it sounds :)

I play a strategy game called "Pay the mortgage, and the bills, and try to have enough left over for gas, food, and whatever my wife wants". Still waiting for them to release "Grab your best gun, all the ammo you can carry, and live in the wet cold woods while they hunt your ass down", but hear it's been delayed for at least four years.

Domino's and any card game is a holiday favorite in my family.

We take cards so seriously we have 10 decks of washable plastic playing cards.

The other thing we have are 'who dun it' murder mystery jigsaw puzzles. We put one up a couple of days before Christmas on a card table and set it in the corner so anyone can come by and put a piece or two in.

Had enough of that in the crew's mess. Still willing to spend some time with pinochle, single deck cutthroat OR double deck.

Well I know a few card games and I'm not bad at chess but I'm usually playing video games most often. I have several emulators on my PC which basically turn it into whatever retro game system I want. I have a soft spot for the Nintendo 64 and I play it most often on my smartphone these days. Otherwise my game of choice would be skyrim.

I was thinking about posting a guide to help y'all learn how to put these emulators on your computers or devices for free but I'm not sure if you guys would find it helpful. If anyone wants though, I can show you how to get almost any old game system running on your PC.

My son brings his Uno cards to school and the kids play during study hall. His deck was all sticky so we made them slippery again, basically coated the germs. Put the deck in the bag, add some baby powder, corn starch and flour. Shake it up then wipe them off. It worked great. I have never heard of washable cards.

I really don't play any these days, but I have a ton in the preps. Everything we ever played plus pretty much everything we ran across at yard sales.

I would play pinochle if I could find 3 more people that play...love that game. We used to play "Money Risk" when I was in college...everyone threw $20 in the pot and winner took all. Good way to make $100 on a slow Saturday. My wife and I had a nickel a point Backgammon series going for over 20 years...we were pretty evenly matched because she died owing me less than $10.

EDIT...Walked into the living room and realized I lied. I play pool and pinball (have a couple of '80s pinball machines that I either play or work on, depending on the day)

I have PC games "Delta Force". it's an old game but it's not easy . learning strategies, and a bit of hardening taking out enemy.
Mostly mouse an key board operations and for the most part single man recon .
Being a PC game the playing field is extensive ,not tunnelized like X box or others .
I can choose to fallow the prescribed path, or take completely different tactics in an operation ,sometimes it pays and some times it doesn't . My windows 10 actually allowed the installation. A little glitchy from time to time, but the experience is over all worth while.
I think . The draw back is, you can get addicted to it for hours.
Spoiler, command don't always know the best way to take a problem.

I realized I missed so games on my list and these are the games that I look forward to teaching my grand children far in the future. When I was recess monitor, I taught the kids some new outside games.

red light/ green light, tag, red rover, hopscotch, 4 square, all kids love hide and seek, jump rope, follow the leader. Some of this are great skill builders when I thought of what they taught, movement control, stealth.

My sister bought the Oregon Trail Card Game. What a hoot. You will die in this game. Bank on it. We laughed at the memories it brought up of the old Apple II game we all played as kids. She also bought Cards Against Humanity for another sister's birthday. That looks to be a fun game too.

I really don't play much in the form of physical games anymore. I do play a few regularly on the PC though. World of Tanks. Hero's & Generals. 7 Days 2 Die <--- very fun zombie survival game. I have played a little ARK that MG mentioned. Fun survival game too. Looking forward to Star Citizen. I've dreamed about a fully fleshed out space sim since I was a kid.
