What games do you play?

Have the standard card games and common board games.

my youngest son has introduced me to a number of newer card and board games....

These games probably require a little more set up / rule familiarisation time than some of the old standards like Monopoly, Scrabble and so forth, but are definitely worth the investment in terms of enjoyment and lifespan of interest engagement.

 

Definitely a +1 on Catan. I play it with the wife and kids (9 & 11) and have a blast. We have a small trophy for the current winner for bragging rights!

 

Snap chat is my favorite.
When i got snap chat a few women I know suddenly started sending me top less pics so I think that means I'm winning.

That's one Satanic game right there, just begging to be doused in holy water....

 

We have been playing a homemade game lately. Not sure what it is called but it takes skill and patience.



What you need is an old skateboard, string and some screws. Take the wheel off of a skateboard, tie it to the string. Hang the string from the rafter of the garage. Screw the axle on to the wall. Stand back and try to hook the wheel onto the axle. It is hard and once you get the throw motion down it gets easier.

Had a friend the during his retirement threw shoes and could throw ringers repeatedly, no fun to play with ,except if I made him stand back another 20 feet. He'd still beat me but the odds were better.
I've several sets of shoes but no one to play with . .

 

Playing losing the shirt off my back never appealed to me much....I worked for the State Lotteries Office many years ago, and once I worked out the statistical odds of winning any prize, I have never gambled for anything more significant than a meat tray at the local returned services club fisho's raffle.
