When the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia emerged and evolved into what we see today. Has anyone noticed the parallels between the collapse of the Soviet Union and what is happening in North America today? Our dollar is falling like a rock, States rights are shot to hell, our police forces have been federalized and militarized, we are being watched from buildings, traffic lights, drones, planes, sidewalks, satellites. Our phone calls are monitored, our internet is watched, hunted, in fact with predatory robots looking for data that will attach our names to various subversive lists. We have accepted torture of our enemies as acceptable as long as it keeps us safe from "Terrorists". We have allowed anyone that disagrees, to be labeled as a domestic terrorist. Have you ever been tased or zapped with a stun-gun? That is pain beyond belief and pain used to coerce is "TORTURE" any way you define it. Now we let our police decide when to torture our citizens and it's ok because it doesn't usually kill them (read less than lethal). Community approved torture as a means of controlling an individual, now that's humane. Why can't we use them daily on convicted felons as punishment? Hell, we can use them on people in airports that get pissed off at all the crap you got to go through to get on a plane? I think we we should start lining the 2, 085, 620 prisoners in our penal system up each morning for a little jolt; sort of some reconditioning for when they finally get out. Follow me here for a minute. We approve torture during the arrest of a person that is presumed innocent until proven guilty but we can't zap that ****er that shot Bernie while robbing his liqueur store?
