Okay, so here I am looking on the internet for something funny. I find a picture of cats with some weird captions, much like this one... And I'm thinking this is cute, then I look for more. Turns out there is a whole lot of this going on. Now it's not so much the pictures and the words that get me. It's the idea that this is LOLspeak. I find out that this is how people, mostly teens are chatting now. I just know the education system is going down the drain. So your kid can't spell? Don't worry. Here at Lolspeak we're creating a new way of doing things so your child will never have to spell or speak correctly again. This is just setting wrong with me. Maybe it's just me, though I doubt it. What is the sense of spelling a word such as 'the' like this 'teh'? Same amount of characters and the correct ones too. Okay, I have high enough BP so I won't keep trying to figure this out. Haha. Sad.
The worst part of it is that most of them think it is real, not shorthand. (Plus they don't learn to proof their work, even when they try to do it right.)
I know that website, I think some of the pictures with captions are the greatest! They are extremely humorous and they bring some light into my day.

Translation: My summer holidays were a complete waste of time. Before, we used to go to New York to see my brother, his girlfriend and their three screaming kids face to face. I love New York, it's a great place. But my parents were so worried because of the terrorism attack on September 11 that they decided we would stay in Scotland and spend two weeks up north. Up north, what you see is what you get -- nothing. I was extremely bored in the middle of nowhere. Nothing but sheep and mountains.
I also think the pix are gud and they do make me smile. Just hate to see when they forget to snap out of this talking.
