I've been stretching every day, once in the morning and again in the evening before bed. I had terrible lactic acid in the legs for a whole two weeks, not letting that happen again. I was walking around wincing and moaning.

Thank you! Yes, I have no desire to check out the sequels. I'm glad it wasn't just me.

Ouch! That sounds painful. What caused so much lactic acid in your legs? I have also been stretching daily and it's helping me in so many ways. I'm surprised. I never thought that I would be into those slow, long holds, but they've been meditative too. Hope you're feeling better.

I'm really happy with how this week is going! I'm hoping that I'll be able to get to Sunday without any injuries. These last two weeks I had weekly, minor injuries that thankful resolved themselves with stretching, but it would be nice to take that part out :sneaky:.
Here's an update because it's been a little while: I'm getting better at isolations, circles, and shimmies!

Nothing new to report from the PNW. Same routine mostly, class at 5 AM. (Usually 3 to 4 days a week) One funny note, a youngster Thursday said, “WTF, crazy grip strength!” Evidently I do, not the first time I’ve heard that. Lol. A “two on one” (me two hands, you one wrist) is big trouble for you if not only to immobilize. There are other things one can do from that too but…(Enough bragging) I hope all is well with everyone and another big thanks to the creator of this thread.

You have such an amazing routine! Every time that I have attempted to do things at 5 am, I ended up fizzling out shortly after starting. It's so inspiring to hear you talk about those morning classes year after year. How many years has it been now?
Grip strength is SO important for everything. I've been doing my farm carries and yard work and I think it's helping my grip strength. I'll have to order another set of those balls that you use for wrist exercises because I misplaced mine shortly after they arrived.
Brag away! We love hearing it here.

Not certain. I've grown accustomed to self diagnosing over the years as I don't like doctors. I had been adding creatine to my diet for a few days prior to the event, so given the fact that I also drive for long periods daily and sit much of the time, I would say the added creatine didn't work as intended. Also, a week prior I had been running and pulled a sartorius muscle in my leg and it was still healing. The fact that I'm now 52 doesn't help, but I am in good shape at least. Staying in good shape is one thing, but remaining limber is now a priority as I've learned. Stretching daily is now a routine.

I also really don't like doctors or clinics and am not looking forward to my annual check up this year. At least we have a.i. now to further assist with self diagnosing :). I hate those mystery injuries. It sounds like you could use an epsom salt bath and some arnica. Have you had a chance to swim lately?
As far as I'm concerned, 52 is still young and it's good that you're making your health and fitness a priority. Hope you'll keep feeling better and better each day.

Thanks for the kind words. And no, I live in the frigid north, no swimming. But it's very therapeutic, I remember swimming years ago when I was in training with the military and I liked it. Can't go under water without nose plugs, though. I have it sorted now, but this week it's my back that's sore...shoveling too much snow will do that. :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for your military service. Yeah, the breathing is tricky and I'm near sighted normally so I definitely need goggles to go under water comfortably, these days. Ugh shoveling snow is the worst. I heard that you guys are having crazy weather in the PNW. I hurt my back a little while ago when I was shoveling and pitchforking mulch. I got cocky and paid for it. Hope you're back is starting to feel better now.

It's week #10/12 and I'm feeling strong! I'm thrilled that I made it through an entire week without an injury.
Ugh, I'm getting my bloodwork done tomorrow at 10:30 and am dreading it.
What's new in your world these days?
