Week #3/10 is off to a great start! I'm feeling strong overall, but my rear deltoids are still kind of weak. I might have to do some supplementary work. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Hope you will have a wonderful week!!

Today will be a focus session workout and I'll work on legs and hips.
I need to vent. Lol. Yesterday our former neighbor texted to say that the pigs are getting the worms in our garden, but our squash plants have so many flowers and they are making his allergies really bad. I've never heard of someone complaining about the pollen in squash flowers, have you? I thought that squash flower pollen is very sticky and not airborn the way that grass and other pollens are. It makes me glad that we moved.

I’m 6 sessions of PT in now plus my own work at home. (and work) Overall I’d guess my hip is 75 percent better, yippee! There’s arthritis that’ll never heal of course but I’m happy with the improvement. July 15th is my tournament in Puyallup, we shall see how it goes. I feel I’m much better than the last one a year ago. Stay tuned.

I'm glad that you're feeling better and continuing to make progress like this. Most people fall off or give up, but it's so good to hear that you're showing up and taking these active steps towards healing.
My hip and back issues have also lessened. I started taking a turmeric/curcumin supplement in addition to stretching and I think everything is helping.

This is week #4/10 and the first week of the 2nd phase of my training program. There are more repetitions and I'm feeling it, but it's a good change. My left shoulder is a bit moody during wide-grip pull-ups, but I clearly remember that a year ago I couldn't do them at all so that's excitng! Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Gotta love drama, right? NOT. My laptop got hacked at a rootkit level (so ugly) and I had to reset everything. Pretty sure it was from a Google extension. I knew something was wrong and I'm glad that I finally figured it out.

I had a decent week #4 of training and happily did the dips. Earlier this week, I moved 80x5 gallon buckets of mulch and am using it to block the gaps under the fence line. It will also serve well as a garden bed. I just know that the wild pigs will destroy everything if I don't make sure that it's secure... Speaking of wild pigs, they figured out how to get into my taro garden at the other property and caused major damage so I had to do an emergency taro rescue mission. Hopefully we will have survivors. They were at the 4 month point(halfway) and taro takes 8-9 months to mature. I think I tweaked the right side of my neck with all this garden work and am glad that it's slowly feeling better.

In other news, signed an offer to sell the property I've lived at for 7 years and looking forward to buying more land. This feels major. Definitely the end of an era...

What is new and exciting in your world?

Today was a rest day and I did my daily dance drills and lots of walking. Brought 5 of my favorite hens to the new place and am stopping promptly at 6 hens. Hope you will have a wonderful week!

Nothing too exciting for me. I’m resting the hip for a week and going to concentrate on stretching that area instead. Stay tuned.

Rest is so underrated, but necessary for healing and recovery. I'm glad you're taking this time.

    Happy July!

I didn't get the powerful start to the month that I wanted because I felt so depressed... It's been awhile since it has affected me on a physical level like that. A few days ago the new neighbor that I mentioned before shot some of my hens (they had only been here for a few hours) and kicked one. When we asked if it was the white hen he yelled that he shoots hens. He said that one of the hens tried to get into his greenhouse so he shot it and he was in "black waters" and wasn't afraid to shoot kids in Iraq. We asked him if he was in the military and he said that none of the branches would take him not the army, navy, or airforce, but he was in black waters. We suspect it's probably a stolen valor kind of thing. Again, to try to keep the peace we said that we weren't upset over a chicken and by the end of it he was "friendly" again.

I've been feeling bummed that the one neighbor near us is like this and so quick to want to flash his gun. We are very easygoing, peaceful people who like to mind our own business. I didn't even want to go outside yesterday and skipped the workout that I planned.

My parents liked living in a place with a neighborhood and an hoa so I didn't have many interactions like this in the past. I know that this is what happens when you move to the outskirts. I've been calling this place Gypsyland and I know that it has potential. I also think that I have also been procrastinating from this specific workout because it calls for pull-ups.
As soon as I finish this post, I'm going to do my workout.
What are you looking forward to this July?

Thanks for saying this. I'm thankful that we have places we can go if we need to. We will extend the visual privacy barrier between the lots and that will hopefully help. If it's not the other dude at the old place complaining about squash flowers in the garden causing pollen allergies, it's this. Lol. Hope you'll have a great 4th of July too!

Today I'm going to do a back-to-back total body workout. Yesterday was an amazing turnaround. I love that sense of euphoria that happens when I don't feel depressed anymore. After yesterday's workout I did a 20 minute jog around our house. It's been ages since I've done any running or jogging and I might start doing more of this if my joints will allow me to.

Hope you will all have a Happy 4th of July!

Rest day on Sunday, Foundational workout followed by a 45 minute jog yesterday, and today was a leg focus workout. I plan on doing my daily dance drills and yoga later today. How are you planning on moving this week?

Tournament is the 18th, not the 15th. (Oops) I’m feeling pretty good so we shall see how it goes. 208 with a gi on for weigh-ins. Easy as pie. Lol.

Week #6/10 is here and I'm feeling strong! I've been sticking with the plan and am enjoying it. Getting better sleep is helping too. I've been doing this shimmy thing for awhile now and am finally getting the hang of the straight leg Egyptian shimmy. Now learning how to shift weight and mix smooth and slow movements with quicker ones.

Week #6/10 has come to a close and I'm happy with how it went. Jogging has been super uplifting and I'm glad that I started again. It reminds me of the good 'ol days when I first joined this forum and I would post my mileage in my status. It's nice to have a thread now.
