what kind of deer slugs do you use? rifled or sabots?
I don't know that I've actually ever shot any sabots , but I do keep plenty of rifled slugs around although the only thing I have shot with them are cans of paint and paper targets.
I only shoot rifled slugs. We have had a couple of wild cows and they do a number on them.
I've always just used rifles slugs, but only because I didn't have a rifled barrel. With the cost of sabots... ouch.
I've got faith enough in the slugs, I've made a 100 yard shot on a doe (my longest) from a Remington 870- 20ga. Shots around here hardly ever get more than 100 or so yards anyway.
Sluggers accurate out to 100 yds.
lee key drive loaded with 32.4 grs of hs-6 lots of deer out to 100 yds .
