HK Information sought on theft of calves from Braum's Farms in Follett Special Ranger Ben Eggleston is seeking information on the theft of 1,121 head of Holstein/Jersey cross steer calves from a Braum’s dairy farm near Follett in the Texas Panhandle. Employees at Braum’s Farms noticed the steer calves, weighing from 300 to 750 pounds, each, were missing after doing their 2014 yearly inventory. The dairy farm is located on the border of Lipscomb County, Texas, and Ellis County, Okla. Anyone with further information regarding this case should contact TSCRA’s Operation Cow Thief hotline at 888-830-2333 or call Special Ranger Eggleston at 806-852-4741. A cash reward of $10,000 may be paid to individuals who can provide useful information leading to the arrest and grand jury indictment of suspect(s). They had a whole year to pull it off. Lots of trucks could have been used in that amount of time. They only noticed they were missing after they did the inventory.
Something is just not right about this. How can 1,121 calves, worth on the low end, half a million plus dollars not be noticed missing before a year end inventory. Unless they have complete morons working the herd something else is up.
Inside job for sure and a real shake up coming for sure. No checks and balances. Poor or no paper work. Time to check some bank accounts. Makes you wonder how long this has been going on.
