What I presently own, a custom .308Win I had built on a Sako AII action, what I wished I still owned, L1A1F1 would be my choice with a few small tweaks my old one had.
My favorite rifle is my Thompson Center Icon 30-06. Tack driver, well made and nice to look at. I love it for deer hunting . It is not my most useful rifle by far. It has really only two possible uses for me. Deer hunting today and long range sniper stuff if shtf.
I have several rifles but I have to say my favorite is an M96 Swedish Mauser 6.5x55mm. It's one of only two bolt guns I have as I am left handed and they are awkward for me! But I dearly enjoy firing it, the wife has fired it and liked it because of the light recoil.
