I've been thinking about getting an old clunker and trying to convert it to LP gas... or maybe converting a old gas genny to propane... i've come across some interesting articles and thought I'd share them... Propane Conversion: How to Make LPG Cars How to Convert Your Car From Gas to Propane | eHow.com How to Convert a Vehicle to Propane | eHow.com Converting a motor to run on Propane! Converting Gasoline Generators to Propane My alternate thoughts involve a sand rail frame and possibly a LPG engine off a forklift... anyone ever convert a vehicle or one a LPG car?
No need to swap motors gents. Kits can be bought to replace carbs or adapt them to run on Propane. A bud has his genset running on it now. Your motor will run very much cleaner (oil will stay cleaner many times longer) using Propane. Check with junk yards for used "carbs" or buy new. Many forklifts use Propane so check with used companies--they probably can set it up for you.
When gas runs out I shall ride my horse. The hard part is getting him to wear the fire helmet with the red light on it.
training the horse and goats to pull carts is easier than trying to teach some computer users. Least the horse and goats don't complain much.
Computer users and goats aren't that much different You could always apply the same kind of "clicker" training on computer users as used by goat trainers. ; ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vScQrRjm0dw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ_7kUpg4hA&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2avcs-IsE5c&feature=relmfu You can follow the rest of the "clicker" goat training from the Youtube site. You probably have the basic concept of operant conditioning training from the first three episodes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErV_1zPP_pk&feature=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC-xvArwrnY
'Shine on WHy bother with goat carts? Convert your Power Wagon to run on home brewed ethanol! (Permaculture & Alcohol Can Be A Gas) Back in the day, all it took to change over a air-cooled VW was to swap out the carb jets. At some point you will need to change out parts for stainless as alcohol will rot most tanks etc sooner rather than later. BY 2006, more cars were sold in Brazil set up to run on E100 than on gasoline. (<cite>news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4602972.stm)</cite>
