Meat Industry Might Shut Down for Two Weeks
Fantastic. I'm curious to see prices when I visit the store later.
I say, let 'em run. It's not like the inspectors find the e coli or listeria until the the cow has left the building anyway.
Sometime not for months after.
Anyway, just some political positioning. Someone just wants the consumer sheeple on their side.
We have a local owned processor here, who buys local animals for processing, so no worries for us!
We have grown our own beef for 30+ years, It's finally starting to be worth the effort and expense.
It is just a fed thing. At first I was worried that we were having that horse meat issue that they are having in Britain. Actually horse meat that is now donkey meat, geesh those Brits will eat anything!
It is curious as to what the real agenda is on this. Panic buying? Or trying to dictate what we eat? No worries here, I have a freeze full.
Meh. We're good, lotsa preps.
The neighbors, notsomuch.
tbh i much prefer horse over beef.
Dont knockit till u tryit
Well I did go to the store and look. Average overpriced beef, nothing special. I don't serve much beef to my family anyway, but I pick it up here and there when I see really good sales. The biggest problem is not bringing home even one deer this year. Really a bummer.
Neither did I Sierra, I only got out to hunt twice, due to problems, and failed to connect on the one buck I had in my sights.
Aw Kel, it sucks. I screwed up my chance at a doe too. Plus it seems like less deer this year. But, it is good to be optimistic! This year is our year. Not one, but two! Ha! Every drop of archery season I can skip work, shotgun, plus muzzleloader (hell why not hehehe.)
