The preacher only gets a portion of the tithes. Usually, a set amount designated by the board. Most pastors are paupers compared to their congregation in this country, which is criminal.

Our pastor that just passed away was a fantastic pastor, and worked for very little money. Anyone that would say that this man was a crook or getting over on us I would gladly face at 10 paces. I have no use for crooks in or out of robes, but very few pastors have much in the way of worldly goods compared to the rest of us

I have recently been listening to Joyce Meyer. She adds some humor but speaks from the Bible. She also writes Christian fiction books which are good also.

I like the white haired one that touches people and they faint, only to awaken with a new leg to replace the wooden one or no longer needing their wheelchair or insulin injections. This dude can save so much money for those poor folks that can't afford Obamma-care.

 

Jesus provided the Holy Spirit to teach in His place ,I prefer Him .

When I was young and studying the scriptures for my self and even to this day , the Holy Spirit is by far the greatest preacher in my life.
The things I was lead to study are partially repeated by those delivering a message whom are disconnected from me .
I have no media influence to fallow to drive a trend that might have some subliminal influence in my thinking . God is driving a point home and I must pay attention .
Not every one get's it, because they go to church out of habit and have no reason to be there .not hungry . A full church can't be fed.
But individuals that desperately seek God's influence in their life on their own, already have an appetite. Blessed are they that DO hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. who said that ??

One serious fact that get's over looked in Bible school is the fact that false teachers will be held accountable as much as a false prophet .If the message you bring is not lead of the Lord as that of a true prophet you then are a false prophet.
I pity men that have chosen to teach the way of the world, rather than seek the mind of God for the things they have to say.
I pity men that base their faith on hearsay in place of a relationship God made great sacrifice to provide.
I once was one of those , and my eyes were opened and I had to decide whom I serve .
Some think that compromising with the world will draw in those on the fence, God is not impressed with lies . Jesus did not use lies , He said Satan is a liar and the father of it .
It boils down to who's judgment are you most concerned ?
