Not so much a question as a lead-in to me posting some answers that I shamelessly ripped off another forum. Things to say when a person notices your firearm and asks "Why are you carrying a gun": "Because I can't throw a rock at over 1200 fps." "Shhh.. I'm stalking my ex-wife." "Because I can't carry a policeman." "Because when seconds count, the police are just minutes away" "Someday you might understand...I hope you live through it." "because they're worth it" While nodding to your family. "Because yelling help never stopped anyone" "Because cops respond to "free doughnut" faster then "help" or 911"
I heard a guy reply with what I thought was the best one in a while. " Because thats the safest place for it". The person questioning got that puzzled look and actually asked him to explain. He said well it can't get into a bag guys hands cause it's here. My kids or my kids friends cant' get it cause it's here. and I don't have to worry about someone doing me harm because it's here. Therefore it's the safest place I know of to keep it. The idiot turned kinda red and turned around and left. Take care Be safe Poacher.
The simple answer I give people is this . The world does , always has had and always will have sick sadistic people in it who "get Off" on hurting and or killing people just for the fun of it . Then there are those who think I owe them something because of the color of my skin , my heritage or Nation I was born and think they have the right to extract payment by inflicting pain and suffering on me or my family . I'll be damned if I am going to cower down and beg the scum mentioned above to be left alone to live my life in peace . My life is precious to me if yours is not to you by all means feel free to be a victim of the animals that roam the streets but don't expect me to help you out if you're unwilling to help yourself .
Because the bad guys do and I dont plan to let them win. I also like the one of, the cop was to heavy.
