Clyde, Thanks for tuning me into Voddie. I've never heard a 'mainstream' preacher who doesn't care about who he might offend in his teachings. I've listened to this now a few times and shared it with others.
I have to say: this man is cut from a different bolt of cloth! I dont do much in the way of religion, and now I see why, it's the person! Now, had I been in a place where this man spoke, I may have turned out a bit differently! As I said, I dont do much in the way of religious effort ( like not at all for a long time now) But I think the world could use a few more men like this! IMHO
Dragonfly, I sat through fifteen years of sermons that were politically correct gobbledy gook. This is what I always wished someone would preach. Back up you words with scripture and package it in a teaching versus preaching way. The systematic method of analysis was something new to me, but it is how my brain was wired to study versus simply learn.
Melbo I view his preaching method preaching out of love not fear. He cares so much that he is willing to tell you what your sinful side doesn't really want to hear.
