    This fascinating piece of 19th century inventiveness may be an interesting metal casting project.

    The meat tenderiser function would also work as an extempore 'knuckle duster'. ;) A use probably not lost to some women alone in their home.

    Antique examples of this artefact are probably still being sold online and at antique shops.
