Did you take your trainee up with you? I see at least two guys up there, maybe a third. And where is the nacelle cover, throw it over the side?

 

we are changing a gearbox and the Nacelle is on the ground. thanks to the crane.

 

I think you might want to check out the plates on the cars at the end, since when did Montana take on Euro plates?

 

How large of an area are the units encompassing? How close/far are they apart?

 

Yep thats the one, and yep thats me at the nose cone, the last day, I will see if i can get someone catching me on the nose cone

 

Tracy each one is space according to a calculation as not to rob the wind from one another. as to the exact distance I don't have that figure.
I would say about average is 80 to 100 yds apart.

These things are popping up around Western Oklahoma faster than Oil Derricks. They used to call a derrick Oklahoma's state tree, but I think these turbines are soon to take that title.

When working so high, are you equipped with a 'chute (or just a wing and a prayer) for means of emergency evacuation?

 

Emergency decent devices are up tower, hook up and jump and it slows your drop to the ground and you land standing up.
