I went out with TJack Survival(Youtube Channel) for a winter campout monday(12-22-2015) for an overnighter. We arrived about 1:30pm to unload our stuff and pack the sleds for our trek in. It was lightly snowing...more of a slushy snow...so things got wet pretty fast.
For our tent we slept in a seek outside 8 man tipi with a titanium stove in the center. It warmed up nicely in the tent :)
During the night the snow continued and didn't stop until well after we had finished our over nighter and headed home.
One thing I was really amazed by...and I learned from the trip is the power the snow has to crush things...
While in the tipi we actually had snow accumulate on the sides that began to crash the center pole...when I woke up at 7:50am the center pole looked like a bow...the aluminum pole had began to slowly bend over time as snow was piled up on the tent sides as we knocked it off during the night.

All in all a good trip to experience non stop snow while in the winter wilderness. I have experienced snow but not to this extent...so it was a good learning experience

hehe winter camping is tough, hot tenting does makes it more luxurious though :)
I really like the beauty in the forest during winter though, that just keeps me come back for me even though it is a lot of work.
Just finished up a trip to Idaho(winter campout), it got down subzero at night :p video will be posted after I edit it.
