Winter post'em match. Three? categories, maybe 4. .22 pistol, NAWB wording rifle, (if it's in the wording on the new AWB, you can shoot it), combat pistol. Offhand at 25 yards, 50 or 100, 25. You can post a group size, but if we call BS on you, you will have to produce a picture. If I can find some targets with a ghost on them, we can probably get CRC to shoot, too.
Sounds cool, I may have to post it when I get the new toy for the NAWB, if it shoots as well as it sounds like it will I can probably win on the off with it too, lol, Im ambadexterous and got trained to shoot mostly off hand. While left handed is more comfortable and Im a LITTLE more accurate that way I was preasured a lot when young to shoot right handed so as to be able to use common guns easier, both in hand gun and rifle/shotgun. So do we want to break down off hand to handgun and rifle as well?
Oh and how do we measure the groups of how many shots? Outside to outside of furthest out, inside to inside of furthest out, or center to center?
Distance to target measured, not eyeballed C-C is the standard for group size. If "BS-ed", pic posted with a ruler in the frame to take care of scaling. 5 shot groups? I'm in. FAR 15 iron sights, .22 pistol, iron sights (Rem 870 buck and ball, if the class is set up) I'll shoot in Fairfax, any range out to 50 yards.
Sorry guys I don't shoot in 15 degree weather. Mostly because out on the desert where we go shooting it's about 0 and below with the wind chill factor thrown in. And it's not looking like it's going to warm up anytime soon... Postal matches are fun though and for the most part few rarely try to cheat. I think you'll find that most are quite accurate with their handguns and weapons of choice. You guys and gals have a blast.
Well I would be out on that one...no ranges here over 100 meters and dont have a good place to shoot other than the ranges or my place which only has safe fields of fire for about 75 yards or so.
As I understand it its basicly just show the groups with a ruler and make sure the ranges are measured not guessed, 5 shot groups with the holes messured center to center for the furthest out shots.
OK, I’ll go first --Jan 15, 06 early afternoon Fairfax NRA range, (indoor, so weather is not a factor) Ruger Single Six .22 cal revolver Winchester Xpert 22 LR hollow point 5 shot group (best 5 of 6) Open iron sights 2-3/8 inches at 50 feet offhand FAR 15 carbine Wolf .223 Rem 55 gr Copper FMJ 5 shot group, A1 sights 2-3/8 inches at 100 ft offhand Miscellaneous notes: Yes, it is coincidental that the group sizes are the same. Old eyes and iron sights sometimes don’t work as well as they might. Badly out of practice, these targets prove it.
