Please show me some pics of all of your guy's knifemaking setups. I am looking to see some solid fuel and gas forges, slack tubs, anvils, etc, etc. I am looking forward to your guy's input. Here is my workshop looking a little bare still. The first picture shows my forging operation. The second pic is a different angle, and the third pic is of the work bench area.
Feel free to post pics of your setup, my hope for this thread was to get some inspiration from other peoples pics.
Well here's my shop. I didn't have any of the stuff you asked for but a Bador grinder, Grizzly mill and a Enco Bandsaw. Front: Benches and door to the grinding room: Back wall with TV, stereo, fridge, drill presses and oven: Bandsaw, Compressor, Mill: Grinding Room Grinders: Sand blaster, Bead blaster: Since I quit making knives I have sold the mill, bandsaw, both grinders and the bead blaster. I'm now going to clean it up and get ready for my next hobby - making 8' poker tables!
Thank you for sharing! You have a great setup. It is a shame that you have stopped making knives, your work was really pretty. Poker tables? I am sure that they will show the quality craftsmanship that we associate with you.
I've had to save a very long time for this, and through it all it really paid off BIG TIME: I know, you may be asking..."how can you afford all this, Brokor?", but I am just getting started... I can make ANYTHING with this setup! It's almost nearly quite portable, too!!
